To observe.... or not

"What.... what did we do mommy?" Oh I'll show you what the wee ones did. Of course I didn't get mad at them. I just took pictures instead.

Oh the things that can do when the mom is engrossed in a book. Aidan took every stitch of clothing off the hangers and threw them to the floor, he took most of the stuff off the top shelf and they both threw toys everywhere. And if your wondering... the "writing" on the wall was also done when the unobserved man-child had a dry erase marker. That one was daddy's fault (he he he)

This is what happens when you use the wrong pot. And don't pay close attention. I made this for Aidan's nusery snack... turns out it was gross and he wouldn't touch it during snack time. Luckily he teacher made some for him. I tried it when we got home and found out the burnt taste was ALL OVER.

Buildings and Feedings

I have finally started my baby on solids. With the way Aidan was with food I was too nervous to start. But so far she likes carrots (which is all over her), green beans, pears and applesauce. And thanks the the Magic Bullet I can make her baby food.

She also likes to "eat" her toys. That's why these blocks are perfect. Good for building AND for stuffing in a teething baby's mouth. And yes, Aidan is sleeping in the background in his 'time out' spot.

Is she going to be an architect? She just loves to build things. Don't be fooled though, she also likes to dance around.

She's just so proud of her buildings that we need to get pictures of them.

Our Fourth!

Well we had a great, small, party for our Fourth of July. It was just my brother Scott's family with his parents-in-law, me and my kids, Scott and Katy's neighbor from Blacksburg and our grandparents. Despite what the pictures don't show, Saidee and Sofia were at the party. But the few pictures I got of them when they were awake were not the best. So no showing of the sweeties in this post.

Katy's mom is one smart cookie. She was given the ever hated job of shucking the corn. Instead of doing it by herself she employed the grandbabies. I don't know about you, but I think the mess is worth the lack of time spent on corn.

All three kids liked to play in the tub filled with ice. From getting pieces to eat to dipping their whole head in. By this time we figured we needed to bring out the pool. And yes, there was nothing other than Mt. Dew in the tub, we love to do the dew!

With the well water being freezing cold, Katy and I lugged out at least 12 big pots of boiling water to raise the water's temp. To add to the festivities outside, Duke (the dog) decided to puke up more ham from the day before, bless Katy for cleaning it up!

Oh, my photography teacher would have loved this... fore/background thing. But I just love this picture. Erica looks ready to pounce on the unsuspecting Aidan.

More shenanigans in the pool. Their cousin Aylor was around somewhere. All three had a hard time staying in the pool or keeping the water in the pool.

At the end of the day.... Though it was warm, without the sun it wasn't warm enough after playing in freezing cold well water.

Some Here and Some There

Some more pictures that I forgot all about. It's amazing what you forget is on the camera until you actually pull it out again.

She LOVES to help and wash dishes. Though she only offers to help when we're at grandma Jones'. But I came home from shopping with said grandma and noticed some of my dishes were "clean". She tried and I gave her the well earned brownie points.

Daddy really is the favorite when he's home. But this picture just shows so much love. And yes, being from a Marine Corp family Jeff got teased all the time about his hair. But now it's short, or at least what I call regulation.

I KNOW! This is down as cruel and unusual punishment. But come on.... who doesn't like a good cry/sad picture? I think she was upset cause we were taking pictures to archive daddy's long hair and she didn't think she was going to be in them. Love how she's cryin as she is putting her crown on (from McDonalds).

Just too stinkin cute for words. Daddy was tryin to take some pictures mostly of Aidan to show to his grandma Waliser. Apparently Aidan looks like one of the uncles.

My boy wonder! Doesn't he look so good?! Yes the picture is old, but he still looks good. Though right now he looks on the not-so-good side because of an upcoming allergy test, had to stop all meds for that. But he's a trooper.

Catch up time!

So here I am playing catch up. It's been months since my last post. I have no excuse, but three kids will make you forget anything and everything. Unless it has to do with something they want then there is NO forgetting.

He likes me... he really likes me. But bring daddy into the room and I take second place. I have no problems playing second banana, as long as I get the good hugs and kisses at bedtime.

Yes he is sleeping.... no I don't know how he was able to fall asleep. I think he grew sleepy waiting for me.

She has stopped sleeping through the night, but she is still my most peaceful baby. Give her a nice bed, her thumb to suck and her church blanket and she is a happy camper.

I will NEVER get tired of saying how happy I am to have a van! Sweet peaceful drives and the luxury of having their own little bit of solitude, each child has their own seat or row.... priceless!

Aunty Katy makes these hair bands and puts them on her daughter all the time. Well Erica and Aidan wanted to wear one too. I really like Aidan's.

They love to help daddy get ready for work... and sometimes daddy likes to be funny. They were so proud of their 'trick on mommy'. Everything to them is a 'trick'.
